Kampala Declaration

The African Union (AU) Extraordinary Summit on the Post-Malabo Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) has adopted the 10-year CAADP Strategy and Action Plan, along with the Kampala CAADP Declaration on Building Resilient and Sustainable Agrifood Systems in Africa.

About the Kampala Declaration
The Kampala Declaration is the successor to the Malabo Declaration on Accelerated Agricultural Growth and Transformation for Shared Prosperity and Improved Livelihoods, which was adopted in 2014. The implementation period for this declaration will be from 2026 to 2035. It outlines six key commitments aimed at transforming and strengthening Africa's agri-food system.
