Padma Awards Announcement for 2025
The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced the recipients of the Padma Awards for 2025, which were revealed on Republic Day.
About the Padma Awards:
Established in 1954, the Padma Awards are among the highest civilian honors in India.
These prestigious awards are conferred by the President of India at Rashtrapati Bhawan and are presented in three categories:
- Padma Vibhushan: For exceptional and distinguished service.
- Padma Bhushan: For distinguished service of a high order.
- Padma Shri: For distinguished service in any field.
The awards are given across various disciplines, including art, social work, public affairs, science and engineering, trade and industry, medicine, literature and education, sports, civil service, and more.
