E-Shram Microsites & Occupational Shortage Index (OSI)
The Union Minister for Labour & Employment has launched the State and Union Territory Microsites as part of the e-Shram initiative, along with the Occupational Shortage Index (OSI).
About e-Shram Microsites:
These are state-specific digital platforms that are seamlessly integrated with the National e-Shram database.
Benefits:
- For States/UTs: Provides ready-to-use digital infrastructure and a real-time data analytics dashboard.
- For Workers: Offers a smooth registration process with multilingual support.
About OSI:
- Purpose: The OSI aims to identify gaps between workforce demand and supply, using the ILO methodology and PLFS data.
- Key Functions: It tracks job shortages in high-demand sectors and supports workforce planning and skill development initiatives
