India and Oman have recently reached an agreement to amend the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) in order to foster greater cooperation on taxation matters.

Political Features:
Oman is located on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula, at the intersection of the Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea. It is bordered by Yemen to the southwest, the Arabian Sea to the south and east, the Gulf of Oman to the north, the United Arab Emirates to the northwest, and Saudi Arabia to the west.

Geographical Features:

  • Climate: The coastal areas are hot and humid, while the interior is hot and dry. The far south experiences a strong southwest summer monsoon from May to September.
  • Coastal Plain: The Al-Bāţinah, a long and narrow coastal plain, stretches along the Gulf of Oman.
  • Desert: The Rub al-Khali desert, shared with Saudi Arabia and Yemen, lies partly in Oman.
  • Highest Point: Mount Shams, also known as "Sun Mountain," is the highest point in Oman
