"The Cabinet has approved the restructuring of the Skill India Programme and its extension until 2026.
Launched in 2015 by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, the Skill India Programme aimed to train 40 crore individuals by 2022 across various skills. Key initiatives under the program included:
- National Skill Development Mission (NSDM)
- National Policy for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (2015)
- Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)
- Skill Loan Scheme
