About Operation Sankalp
Operation Sankalp was launched by the Indian Navy to safeguard the maritime community from non-traditional threats, particularly in the context of the Israel-Hamas conflict.
The operation focused on three key areas: the Gulf of Aden and surrounding regions, the Arabian Sea, and the waters off the East Coast of Somalia.
During the operation, the Navy responded to multiple incidents, including saving lives, seizing narcotics, and rescuing merchant vessels from hijackings.
