About Lake Naivasha (Kenya):

• Lake Naivasha is a shallow freshwater lake located in the southern Rift Valley, bordered by acacia woodlands.
• It is nourished by the perennial Malewa and Gilgil Rivers, which flow from the Aberdare Mountains in central Kenya.
• Despite having no direct outlet, the lake remains fresh, primarily due to underground seepage and salt sedimentation in the eastern Rift Valley.
• It is designated as a wetland under the Ramsar Convention.
