Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Program (FTI-TTP)
The Home Minister recently launched the Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Program (FTI-TTP) at seven major airports across India. These airports include Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Ahmedabad.
About FTI-TTP:
- The program is part of the government’s Viksit Bharat@2047 vision.
- Nodal Ministry: Ministry of Home Affairs.
- Nodal Agency: Bureau of Immigration.
- Objective: To expedite the immigration clearance process through electronic gates.
Phases of Implementation:
- Phase 1: Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders will be included.
- Phase 2: Foreign travelers will be incorporated.
Airports Covered: Initially, the program will be implemented at 21 major airports.
